One Year of Ghosts, Stories… and Unforgettable Nights in Padstow

As we celebrate the first full year of The Ghost Walk Padstow, it feels like the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and—true to form—look back into the past.

What started as an idea rooted in a love of local history, folklore, and theatrical storytelling has grown into something truly special. Night after night, we’ve walked the winding streets of Padstow, sharing tales of smugglers, spirits, tragedy, and mystery with visitors from all over the world. And what a year it has been.

A Year Beyond Expectations

From our very first tour, it was clear there was an appetite for something a little different—something immersive, atmospheric, and rooted in real local stories. Not just a ghost walk, but an experience.

Over the past year, we’ve welcomed couples, families, solo travellers, and groups—many of whom arrived curious and left genuinely surprised by what they discovered lurking in the shadows of this historic harbour town.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive such positive feedback across platforms like Google, GetYourGuide, and TripAdvisor. The reviews have been humbling, often mentioning the storytelling, the unique locations, and the balance between history and humour.

Every kind word, every recommendation, every shared photo or mention—it all means more than you might imagine.

Thank You for Your Support

No venture like this succeeds in isolation. The Ghost Walk Padstow has been shaped and supported by a fantastic community, and we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you.

To everyone who has joined a tour—thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity, and willingness to step into the unknown.

To those who’ve recommended us to friends, family, or even strangers online—your support has been invaluable.

And to the local businesses who have backed us from the beginning, we are especially grateful.

A special mention must go to Muddy Stilettos, whose support and recognition helped shine a spotlight on what we’re doing here in Padstow.  Jordan from Trifecta who joined an early tour and designed the website for me!

We’d also like to thank our friends at The Old Custom House and The Harbour Inn—both of which play a part in the atmosphere and storytelling of the tour itself. Their support, warmth, and connection to Padstow’s history make them more than just stops along the way—they are part of the story.

The Stories That Stay With You

One of the most rewarding aspects of the past year has been seeing how these stories resonate.

Guests often arrive expecting light entertainment—and leave deep in conversation about a particular tale, a chilling moment, or a piece of history they’d never heard before.

Because that’s the heart of it: these are not invented ghost stories. They are rooted in real events, local folklore, and historical accounts that give Padstow its character.

The ghosts, if you like, are simply the echoes that remain.

Looking Ahead

As we move into year two, there’s plenty to look forward to.

We’ll continue refining the experience, adding subtle new details, customised music and ensuring that every tour feels as engaging as the first. There may even be a few surprises along the way…

But one thing will remain unchanged: our commitment to telling Padstow’s stories in a way that is authentic, atmospheric, and just a little bit haunting.

Join Us… If You Dare

If you’ve yet to experience The Ghost Walk Padstow, now is the perfect time.

And if you’ve already joined us—perhaps it’s time to return. After all, in a town with as much history as Padstow… there’s always another story waiting to be told.

Thank you again to everyone who has been part of this journey so far.

Here’s to another year of ghosts.
